My Thoughts

I was honestly thinking of DNF-ing this series because I didn’t get the hype. I started with Assassin’s Blade, Throne of Glass, and then Crown of Midnight (which started to ramp up at the end), and I am so glad I didn’t because Queen of Shadows was it for me! This book truly elevated the series to a whole new level. Not going to lie, the Manon chapters were boring; I just wanted to skip to Rowan and Aelin, who have such captivating chemistry and drive the story forward. But I am so glad I didn’t skip those chapters because the Queen of Shadows book, with its intricate plots and the development of Manon’s character, proved to be incredibly compelling. It added depth to the narrative that I didn’t expect! Now I finally understand what everyone was talking about, and I can appreciate the complexity of the characters and their journeys throughout the series.
